Upper Elementary
Ages 9 – 12
The Upper Elementary program continues building upon the skills learned in Lower Elementary, through a more in-depth lens, with a focus on abstract thinking and learning.

Cosmic Education
The Elementary years focus on a Cosmic Education, which shows an interconnectedness of all living things. The focus is on academic growth, as well as growth as a whole person.
21st Century Skills
The Montessori Elementary Curriculum focuses on critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication to prepare children to be their best selves in the future.
Abstract Thinking
Children at this age rely less on hands-on materials, as they are able to understand more abstract concepts. This allows the Upper Elementary classroom to focus on further details of previous learning.
“Perhaps a great future leader or a great genius is with us and his power will come from the power of the child he is today. This is the vision that we must have.”
-Maria Montessori
